The story behind All She Wanted
Brandon Teena, Lisa Lambert, and Philip DeVine were killed in a Nebraska farmhouse in 1993. Brandon had reported a sexual assault by John Lotter and Tom Nissen before the murders. Both men were convicted in connection with the killings. The case drew attention to anti-transgender violence and the authorities’ treatment of Brandon’s assault report.
