Dee Dee Blanchard presented her daughter Gypsy Rose as seriously ill and dependent, concealing a history of medical abuse. In 2015, Nicholas Godejohn killed Dee Dee in a plan involving Gypsy. Both were convicted, and later media explored the abuse as well as the murder.
